It’s official. Swancon 50 will be the 2026 Australian National Science Fiction Convention.
Bringing the Natcon back to Perth for such a milestone anniversary seems like a fitting way to celebrate half a century of Western Australian fandom. Swancon has a long history of hosting the Natcon, which goes all the way back to Swancon 5 in 1980. In a rather nice piece of temporal symmetry, one of the guests that year was Grant Stone, who will be rejoining us as a Guest of Honour for Swancon 50.
Since 1980, we’ve had the privilege of hosting the Natcon thirteen more times, most recently in 2020.
We’re honoured to be entrusted with the Natcon for 2026. We look forward to welcoming fans from across the country to Perth to join our celebrations.
