Friday Evening Social Celebrations

Friday evening will be a chance to get the party started.

4pm – Registration desk open
6.30pm – Dinner with the guests – separately ticketed event, bookings essential
Social drinks at the Pagoda bar – casual social meet up open to all

Registration Desk Open 4pm-6.30pm

The registration desk will be open between 4pm and 6.30pm for badge pick-up for those with pre-purchased memberships who would like to sign in early.

Guest Dinner 6.30pm-8.30pm

A special dinner with the Swancon50 guests of honour at the Waterwall restaurant. The time honoured tradition of the pre-con guest dinner is a fantastic way to welcome our guests and have the chance to meet and greet them before the con is in full swing. It is also an excellent way to catch up with other con-goers in a social setting and a great way to ease into the con for first timers. The guest dinner is a separately ticketed event and places will be limited so bookings will be essential. Bookings will be open closer to the date so keep an eye out in our newsletter and socials for the booking announcement.

Social Drinks at the Pagoda Bar 8.30pm til late

After dinner the party will move to the bar where all are welcome. This will be an open social event held in the public bar, no cover charge and no bookings required.

Saturday Program

Saturday programing starts with an official opening ceremony, a 50th celebration morning tea party and a special performance from one of our amazing special guests. We have a full day of panels, presentations, workshops, family friendly activities, tabletop gaming – free play and tournaments, a full schedule of video gaming, indi game developer demonstrations, an art show and a fully stocked traders area. Then in the evening we will continue the celebrations with a Masquerade Party where you can dance all night to music played by our DJs and be entertained by a special cabaret performance from our talented fan community.

Sunday Program

Sunday continues the program of panels, presentations, workshops, family friendly activities, tabletop gaming – free play and tournaments, a full schedule of video gaming, indi game developer demonstrations, an art show and the traders area. The Sunday evening highlight is the presentation of the Tin Duck and Ditmar Awards – Western Australia and National fan voted awards for the years best works of SF creativity.

Monday Program

The final day of the event with a full day of panels, games, art show and traders. Finishing with the closing ceremony.
