Memberships
We are thrilled to have you join us for this milestone event. To make your experience as enjoyable and accessible as possible, we offer a variety of membership options to suit every fan. We offer full convention memberships at regular, plus, and concession prices. Day memberships are now available for pre-purchase and we have a special “Pay What You Feel” offer for first time attendees. Thanks to the generous sponsorship of the City of South Perth we are also able to extend the “Pay What You Feel” offer to residents of the City of South Perth. Each of these membership tiers offers the same benefits and convention experience, but are priced differently to make our community as equitable as possible.
Current Membership Prices
Full Membership – Regular – $275
Our standard Full Membership grants you access to all the amazing events and activities Swancon 50 has to offer. This includes entry to all panels, presentations, workshops, gaming sessions, the traders’ room, the art show, the spectacular masquerade, and the prestigious awards night.
Full Membership – PLUS – $325
Do you love Swancon so much you are wondering if there is a way for you to give more? For those who wish to go above and beyond in their support for the convention and the Western Australian Science Fiction Foundation (WASFF), we offer the Full Membership PLUS. This tier includes all the benefits of a Full Membership, plus an additional donation to help us continue bringing you fantastic events.
Full Membership – Concession – $175
We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to participate in Swancon. Our Full Membership Concession is available to low income and unwaged members of the community, offering access to the entire convention at a reduced price. Concession eligibility is self determined and you do not need to provide proof of financial circumstances.
Children
Children 12 years of age and under, accompanied by a guardian, are free. Children 13 to 18 will require a concession membership.

New Member/Bring a New friend/ 1 Day Special Offer/Pay as you feel!
Swancon50 is pleased to offer first time attendees and City of South Perth residents a “Pay What You Feel” membership. New members and City of South Perth residents can obtain a 1 day ticket for any day of the convention for any amount they choose – from $0 to full price – the choice is yours, pay what can or pay what ever you feel is right for you.
Companion Card Admission
If you are a companion card holder your nominated companion is able to attend with you free of charge. Your companion is entitled to the same level of admission that your membership provides (i.e. if you have a full weekend membership your companion may also attend for the full weekend, if you are a day membership holder your companion may attend for that same day.) However, as companion attendees are not counted as members of Swancon or WASFF and therefor are not entitled to vote in the Ditmars, Tin Ducks, or the WASFF AGM or Natcon Business meeting. If your companion would like to vote in any of these things they may purchase a supporting membership which would make them a current WASFF member and would provide them with all the additional benefits as listed below.
Additional Benefits
No matter which membership tier you choose, your Swancon 50 membership also includes a one-year membership to the Western Australian Science Fiction Foundation (WASFF). This grants you voting rights at the WASFF Annual General Meeting and the opportunity to cast your vote in the Tin Duck Awards. As Swancon 50 is the designated National Convention (Natcon) for 2026, your membership also entitles you to vote for the 2026 Ditmar Awards and at the Natcon Business Meeting.
