Public Transport

Best and easiest thing to do is to use the Transperth Journey Planner via their website or download the app.

Public Transport is usually pretty good on a Saturday but may be less frequent later in the Evening 

Public transport may be limited on Sunday (but if you have a SmartRider it is free!)

Public Transport may also be limited on Monday as it is a public holiday, note that public transport is NOT free on a Monday Public holiday 

If you are not a Perth resident get yourself a SmartRider (or borrow one from your host) and you will save a significant amount of money !! it works on ALL public transport in Perth Metro Including the Airport line!! SmartRiders can be purchased at newsagents /kiosk at the train station, or at the baggage storage ‘Smarte Carte’ kiosk on the ground floor T1 at the airport.

However you can also use your smartphone/creditcard/deobit card to tab on to all public transport

First Step is to get to One of these places 

• Canning Bridge Station (Mandurah Line) 
• Elizabeth Quay Train Station (Mandurah line) 
• Elizabeth Quay Ferry Station (a short walk from the Elizabeth Quay Train Station)
• Elizabeth Quay Bus Station (a short walk from the Elizabeth Quay Train Station)

If you are common from Fremantle , Thornlie, Midland, airport or Ellenbrook lines change trains at Perth station and then either 

1. Walk to Elizabeth Quay 
2. Walk to Perth Underground and take the train to Elizabeth Quay Train Station

However if you are coming from the Mandurah line you are in luck! you can Just get off at canning Bridge or Elizabeth quay (your choice here will depend on connecting busses!) 

The ferry is quite scenic if you haven’t been to Perth before as its got lovely views of the city but it is slow and the connecting bus may be a short walk from the ferry stop.

Get yourself a window seat if you plan on doing this 

Alternatively the views from the train line to the canning bridge are also quite nice!

Bus Routes 

From Elizabeth Quay Bus Station 

Take the Transperth bus route 32 from Elizabeth Quay Bus Station to the “Melville Pde After Thelma St” stop, which is a 2-minute walk away. 

Other Bus Options: Bus routes 30, 31, or 34 also serve the South Perth/Como area near Melville Parade which is a bit further to walk

From Canning Bridge Station

Alternatively, take the Mandurah Line train to Canning Bridge Station and transfer to a bus along Canning Highway.

it is about a 25-30 minute walk or a short bus ride (e.g., 910) to Melville Parade.

Ferry: Take the ferry from Elizabeth Quay to Mends St Jetty, then take a bus (30, 31, 32) toward Como. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
